Little Cerise and Japan R*gs: something for every style…
The rock’n’roll spirit has arrived with this new collection, as red, khaki and black & white take centre stage in new items for budding stars. A studded red perfecto vest is perfect for a little rebel, worn over grey slim pants with skull rivets. Lady Gaga, The Sex Pistols and Marilyn Monroe are the idols of the Cerises rock stars, making an appearance on printed cotton T-shirts that are faded, worn, cut and even fringed. We find the star of rock legends in a superimposed design on cotton poplin and in the form of metallic inserts or studs for little girls who were “born to be wild.”
Those with a more feminine bent will love our beige cotton lace tops paired with a fuchsia tulle skirt bearing black polka dots for a touch of airy glamour. The very “Mademoiselle Parisienne” beige trench coat cinches at the waist yet delicately reveals a very feminine tank top embellished with a tiny satin bow. The polka-dot and Liberty-print patterns feature a range of pink shades for a touch of worldliness.
The ethnic-chic theme also catches attention with a burst of colour. Vivid yellow, turquoise and orange add sizzle to this collection. A feather print appears on T-shirts and embroidered on the shoulders of a denim shirt or shortall adorned with wooden beads or fastened with pearl or coconut buttons. The strap dress is the must-have of the season, in denim with panels or in a more discreet cotton poplin that also features embroidery around the neckline.
A final theme inspired by cheerleaders has been applied to a collection of basics: a varsity jacket, cotton pique polo dress, polo shirt, fleece sweats and more for a “college” look in pink, white and grey.
This season, Japan R*gs’ boys adopt a geek-chic look with a range of colourful T-shirts featuring 1980s video-game themes. The famous Mario Bros. mushroom and the Nintendo console print are the icons of this new collection. A line of swimwear in shades of green, blue, red and more rounds out this high-colour collection.
The rock attitude is in full force this season, with a denim vest over T-shirts embroidered with skulls. In keeping with the rebellious spirit, automobile brand logos like Lamborghini and Maserati have been used for T-shirt prints.
Sportswear has not been forgotten: an American college campus spirit moves in with a wide range of hooded sweatshirts, with and without zippers, Bermuda shorts and trousers, as well as the season’s must-have: the green and white varsity jacket. Cotton pique polo shirts are adorned with vintage lettering in bright colours, and chino trousers move in for the summer in faded shades of grey and blue-green.
A slim fit is the standard-setting cut for boys in summer 2012.
