HERITAGE LINE, BY JAPAN RAGS
In order to diversify its offer, urban brand Japan Rags is announcing its new line of jeans: the Heritage line. This new collection will include three new cuts featuring “quasi-artisanal techniques” such as “precision stitching for a couture effect”.
These three cuts are: the “Carpenter” cut, which is loose around the thighs, tight around the ankles and comes with denim straps; the skinny cut features a low-hanging seat that’s very reminiscent of rockabilly ; and finally, a classic slim cut. All three cuts have been designed to appeal to urban men who enjoy jeans, couture and fashion.
From a commercial standpoint, the Heritage line mainly aims for the international market, where tight-fitting and sober cuts are in high demand and excessive fading or pocket decorations are undesirable, as is the case with the more fashion-minded French public.
Even better, the Heritage line is exclusively washed using ozone, without using any water (compared to the 100l per pair of jeans using standard washing techniques) or chemical agents, reducing energy consumption by up to 65% when compared to traditional methods. Ozone washing is a natural and nonpolluting method which greatly reduces the energy needed to wash jeans.
