A MANUFACTORY LEGACY

 

Le Temps des Cerises is the fruit of a passion for denim shared by a father and his son. The father, a former « jeans antique dealer », was already a precursor in the 80′s with his own shop selling jeans imported from the USA. He founded « Propagande », the famous American second-hand clothes shop in Marseille. The son, a born fashion designer, has a genuine passion for rare, authentic objects.

Le Temps des Cerises therefore offers product authenticity and a vintage mindset. The fabric is patinated, faded, worn, shaped, to make the products look as if they have aged naturally. Le Temps des Cerises has imposed a style of its own and is a precursor in terms of fading techniques. The final aspect of our products is the result of numerous developments carried out internally, resulting in our own « recipes » which all share one common goal: achieving a genuine ageing of the fabric.

The same recipe has been applied to our line of men’s clothes, Japan Rags, which attracts jeans lovers. Our line of children’s clothes completes the wardrobe for all family members from 6 months up.

Standing by its never-ending commitment to weathered clothes and inspired by thrift store culture, Le Temps des Cerises proposes a new urban wardrobe every season focusing on natural-looking ageing.

As a maker and designer of jeans, Le Temps des Cerises now wishes to promote a greener vision in the industry. Keenly aware of environmental concerns, Le Temps des Cerises has always sought to develop more responsible production methods and is adopting a new, water-less, method of denim treatment based on ozone, a nontoxic natural gas.

Following its successful implantation in France, which notably includes about forty brand-name dealers, Le Temps des Cerises now confirms its leadership role in the international jeans market, with over a 1000 dealers around the world ; the French touch is working its magic on international markets.
